Considering myself as an IT Professional or a Professional. I should know what profession I have. Yes, according to Webster Dictionary, stimulated from the Distinct American Culture by Noah Webster, a Lexicographer and writer: A Profession is one of a limited number of occupations of vocations involving special learning and carrying a certain social prestige, especially the learned professionals: like Law, Medicine, Engineer, Carpenter, and etc. The people who engaged in such an occupation, an insult to the profession, open declaration, avowal, a profession of a loyalty, a declaration of a religious belief, and a taking of a religious vows professionals, through a long time and an intensive preparation of his/her academic.

For example, a system analyst may design a computer-based process control system that will be used to monitor a power plant process, store data in any establishment and in a business process to centralize the information needed to the management. A professional manager should manage well the information system of the management, so that they can lift up the profit, less the price and have benefit for the society. But on the failure of a system and the operation of such management or plant may put workers in a jobless, and lowering the income to every vendors.
In other way, if there is no failure, there will be no improvement. If the systems are failure designed the systems analyst, there will be an expected improvement. That is the basic thought of every IT Professionals when designing such systems. Sometimes they get Feedback from society in order for them to improve in advance before the workers of residents in the neighborhood of the plant at risk.
As an IT professionals should have to deal with many different hardware, software and service providers. Nowadays the technology become popular to the society. Not only to the educational institutions, establishments, but rather in home owners. Even the little child, now they know how to use the technology. They follow the flow of the technology.
